Watch David Blaine Pull an Insane Magic Trick on Keanu Reeves and His Dogstar Bandmates
Only John Wick could *pull an actual knife* from someone's nose with such flair (as a horrified Jimmy Fallon looks on).
The holidays are a joyously hectic time, and December 13 was a particularly wild evening on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. A visit from Timothée Chalamet and the premiere of Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor's "Wrap Me Up" video would make for a stacked show as it is, but Fallon and The Roots welcomed some additional intriguing guests on Wednesday night: Magician David Blaine stopped by to what he does best (magic tricks), for one.
Among those Blaine asked to pick a card, any card? John Wick himself, Keanu Reeves.
Reeves and the fellow members of his reunited band Dogstar, Rob Mailhouse and Bret Domrose, performed their song "Blonde" on The Tonight Show, and gamely stuck around be a part of Blaine's performance. There were card tricks, sure, but things also got pretty David Blaine-style weird.

"I think we should try something with Quest," Blaine said to Reeves at the top of the segment, as both Reeves and Questlove tried to wiggle out of being Blaine's first victim.

When Blaine produced a simple piece of thread, everyone panicked.
"Are you gonna sew me?!" Questlove asked, as Blaine assured him he wouldn't. Then he put the thread in his mouth and ate it.
"I'm gonna try to bring it back up," Blaine said.
"Bring what back up!!?!?" Questlove cried. That's when Blaine asked the drummer for help. You'll never guess where they found that thread, but it made Reeves and his fellow Dogstar members cover their mouths in mild horror.

Reeves tried to hide behind a band member at one point, but he soon found himself pulling thread from Blaine's mouth through his neck. "You have to make sure you get it between the teeth," Reeves joked as he remained way more stoic than we would have.
Blaine then (thankfully) switched to card tricks, and Keanu Reeves' enthusiastic participation was extremely adorable. But Blaine didn't want anyone to get too comfortable, which is why he then PUT AN ENTIRE KNIFE UP HIS NOSE. Watching it isn't for the faint of heart, but Jimmy Fallon's facial expression as a shocked Reeves laughs makes it well worth it.

Formed in 1991, Mailhouse, Reeves, and Domrose formally reunited in 2023 to make their first album in two decades, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. Reeves plays bass in the band.
