Emily in Paris Dresses Olympian Noah Lyles in Cheeky Ad for 2024 Paris Olympics
Emily in Paris star Lily Collins pitches a look for "fastest man alive" Noah Lyles that is ooh-la-la extra in a fun NBC ad.
Emily in Paris’ Lily Collins stars in a fun and fizzy new commercial promoting NBC’s coverage of the Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris.
In character as Emily Cooper, an American media strategist in the popular Netflix series, Collins totally sticks the landing as she pitches network marketing executives on a head-turning uniform for Team USA sprinter Noah Lyles.
Lyles won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics. His 100 meter win last summer at the World Athletics Championship earned him the title of “the fastest man alive.” So the race-day ensemble Emily hawks is appropriately extra.
The look is by Pierre Cadault, a designer from the TV series who’s famous for flamboyance. This look is gold — naturally — with armor-like chains and a long, voluminous cape. A warm-up robe is emblazoned with the phrase “I’m the one.”

The extravagance of the design has execs looking a little wary. They ask Emily if the heavy-metal and outsize embellishments are safe, and the irrepressible Emily reassures them — sort of.
“Um, yes, it has been tested. It is safe,” she replies. “Maybe not for the other runners, but we’re just talking about Noah!”
The clip that follows shows Lyles in a race. His competitors get caught up in his gilded mile-long cape as he crosses the finish line first.
“Vive Noah!” shouts Emily, who’s never hit a hurdle she couldn’t leap over or around. “Vive Olympics!” She sprays the stunned boardroom members with champagne.
Serial selfie snapper Emily takes a pic with the stunned bubbly-blasted executives. The post reads: See you in Paris! #ParisOlympics.
In a coda to the NBC promo that first aired on Jan. 13, Emily confers with Lyles, who’s dressed in his gleaming Cadault creation. It’s actually the handiwork of Emily in Paris costume designer Marylin Fitoussi.
“So we need to go bigger,” says Emily.
“I can do bigger!" he says.
Fashion at the Paris Olympics
Cheeky? That’s the point. “As we kick off an Olympic year, we are delighted that Lily Collins, as Emily Cooper, will bring her fantastical marketing ideas to our Olympic campaign,” said Jenny Storms, CMO, Sports and Entertainment, NBCUniversal. “Her stylish pitch fits perfectly with our strategy and will generate excitement for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, one of the fashion capitals of the world.”
Collins is part of a star-studded relay-style NBC promotional campaign. In earlier installments Peyton Manning pitched execs on a flying baguette, while Megan Thee Stallion sold the idea of a winged, talking, fire-breathing horse.
Summer 2024 Olympics coverage begins on July 26. It will be available to watch on NBC and Peacock.
