Watch Karol G's Incredible SNL Performances From April 15, 2023
Karol G was the musical guest alongside fellow SNL newcomer Ana de Armas, and the pair left no crumbs.
Saturday Night Live Season 48 has been bringing some major performances to Studio 8H, and the entertainment only heated up with April 15 Host Ana de Armas and musical guest Karol G.
The SNL newcomers were a dynamic duo during the episode, with de Armas radiating pure hilarity in each of her side-splitting sketches. Karol G made a cameo in the "Spanish Class" sketch, where the Colombian singer stepped in to teach the alphabet after a blubbering instructor fled the scene. For her SNL set, Karol G performed "Mientras Me Curo Del Cora" and "Tus Gafitas" from her record-breaking fourth album Mañana Será Bonito. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in March, and fans were excited to see her bring her melodies to the SNL stage for the first time.

Karol G performs "Mientras Me Curo Del Cora"
Backed by a full choir, Karol G delivered a rousing performance of "Mientras Me Curo Del Cora." The stage was low-lit as Karol G sang beautifully, backed by musical riffs of Bob Marley's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" from an a cappella choir. Karol G sounded fantastic throughout the set, allowing her angelic vocals to take the spotlight.

While her first set of the night was low-key, Karol G turned up the heat for the second half by transforming the studio into a gritty 1980s garage to perform "Tus Gafitas." The performance was made complete with a black convertible, bright neon lights, and smoke taking over the stage. Karol G looked slick and stylish in a spiky leather top and skirt and sounded fantastic embracing a neo-rock sound. The "TQG" singer took to Instagram to document the landmark performance, posting a delightful slideshow of BTS photos from her SNL debut. She captioned the IG post, "🌸🌸🌸🕊️ que linda [how cute]."
