Chance the Rapper Wore the Coolest Ripped Jeans for The Voice Playoffs

See how Chance The Rapper completed his look for The Voice Season 23 Playoffs. (Hint: He wore his "3" hat.)

By Jax Miller

Coach Chance the Rapper of The Voice is bringing style to Season 23’s Playoffs, and we are so here for it!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The triple Grammy Award-winning musician was required to make the nearly impossible decision of picking two Team Chance acts of five to advance to the Live Performance Shows’ semi-finals. Kala Banham, Jamar Langley, Manasseh Samone, Ray Uriel, and Sorelle first met Chance for rehearsals before singing for Chance and his fellow Coaches, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and Niall Horan.

The talent was hard to ignore during the Playoffs, as were Coach Chance’s urban and comfy ensembles.

During studio rehearsals, Chance wore a black hoodie with what appeared to be a vine of fruit embroidered in white across the front. Black jeans and white sneakers matched, as did black and gray dyed jeans with small rips at the knees.

Of course, Chance’s outfit wouldn’t be complete without his signature "3" hat and its significance, which you can read more about here. During rehearsals, he wore a blue-colored one with a sea-green embroidered "3" logo.

The hat is a spinoff of his trademarked navy-blue hat and white logo, which he wore during his team’s onstage performances. (PRO TIP: Chance has his own line of New Era hats for sale on his website, with available cap/logo colors in Pinot red/oceanside blue, beetroot purple/pink, Vegas gold/blue tint, and more).

During the onstage performances, Chance wore a red letter-style jacket with the black and white words “Daily Paper” across the front, the name of an Amsterdam-based fashion brand, which was founded in 2012 by three childhood friends inspired by their African heritage.

“Fueled by the rich heritage of African culture wrapped in contemporary designs, Daily Paper has truly become one of the fastest growing fashion brands out of Europe,” according to the Daily Paper website. “With two collections a year focusing on both men and womenswear, Daily Paper offers timeless designs across accessories, ready to wear, and a range of capsules across the season.”

Chance’s jester red and black Peregia jacket was equipped with a “bomber collar” and came with a knitted, athletic hem of black, white, and red.

“An atlas lion logotype felt patch with embroidery decorates the chest while a chenille patch is placed on the center back,” according to the jacket’s description. The decal on the back depicts a lion walking before a mountain range with the words “The Atlas Lion” appearing underneath.

The jacket is available on the brand’s website for $275.

Along with the jacket, Chance wore a black shirt underneath, and paired it with matching black jeans and black sneakers. He topped the look with a pair of diamond studs in his ears, looking fresh as ever.

Chance has a keen sense of fashion, which he often includes in his artistic endeavors, as seen on his website. There, fans can find an assortment of collections, including his Yah Know collection (aligned with his 2022 single feat. King Promise), summer and winter collections, and lines for each of his successful mixtape albums 10 Day, Acid Rap, and Coloring Book.

Coloring Book, Chance’s third mixtape, skyrocketed Chance into stardom and inspired the rapper’s signature hat. In an interview with GQ, Chance said the "3" also represented the holy trinity and his “three-pronged family,” which then included Chance, his wife, and their daughter. (

Chance now has two adorable daughters, whom he recently brought on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon).

You can see more of what Chance the Rapper wears as the competition continues on The Voice, airing Mondays at 8/7c on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
