What are Dan + Shay’s hit songs?
Dan Myers and Shay Mooney are making history all over the place. They are the first duo to coach The Voice (with their own custom double red chair), and they made Grammy history as well: In 2021, they earned their third consecutive Grammy for Best County Duo/Group Performance, the first musical act ever to achieve this incredible feat.
Dan + Shay’s astonishingly quick rise to fame started just 10 years ago, and they now have over 10 billion global career streams and nine #1 singles on country radio, including these songs:
"19 You and Me"
This debut single was released in 2013 and immediately caught people’s attention with its smooth vocals and catchy pop leanings. Who can resist a classic ballad about fleeting summer love?
"How Not To"
From their second album ,Obsessed, the "Hot Not To" lyrics — about moving on from a relationship that’s pulling you back in — tugs on the heartstrings.
"Tequila"
Dan + Shay’s third album went platinum and included a slew of smash hits, including "Tequila", which has nearly 1.5 billion global streams, making it one of the top 15 most streamed country songs of all time. They recently wowed a "screaming" North Dakota audience by performing the song totally shirtless.
"Speechless"
Another winner from their third album, "Speechless" is a soulful love song that shot to number one on Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts in 2018. If the lyrics didn’t get you, then the video would. It features footage from both Smyers’ and Mooney’s 2017 weddings, including the first looks at their respective brides as they walked down the aisle.
"All to Myself"
Bringing a Caribbean-inspired guitar solo into the mix, "All to Myself" is another catchy ballad about love and longing.
"10,000 Hours"
Showcasing the vocal stylings of Dan, Shay, and Justin Bieber together, the combo proved irresistible for fans. Based on author Malcolm Gladwell’s theory of mastery (to achieve expertise in a subject, you need 10,000 hours of practice), Dan + Shay and Bieber sing about doting on their wives.
No surprise, this chart-topper spent 21 weeks at No 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and broke streaming records.
"You"
Proof that Dan + Shay have mastered the art of the love song, their latest single is currently climbing the country radio charts. Described as “Speechless, Part Two” by Mooney, it picks up where the previous song left off.
Hopefully you’ll hear many of these songs on their upcoming tour.
