What Happened to Wendy Seager on Chicago Fire?
The character made a return in Season 11 of the show.
Chicago Fire Season 11 saw the return of recurring character Wendy Seager, played by actress Andy Allo. Including this most recent appearance, Allo has done roughly a dozen episodes of Chicago Fire as Seager, a lieutenant who works with the CFD's Office of Fire Investigation (OFI). Arson investigation is one of Severide's (Taylor Kinney) specialties, and he and Seager have worked together on several cases. Their demeanor has been perceived by some fans as flirty, which makes Seager's character a bit polarizing. Granted, nothing has happened between them—and it seems like nothing will—but that doesn't stop Chi-Hards from having opinions.
In any case, Seager's return to Chicago Fire Season 11 was completely benign. She investigated the cause of a fire at the city stables. She also became a potential love interest for Carver after they hooked up twice, once in Episode 15 and again in Episode 16. That said, nothing really materialized from their dalliances.
What happened to Wendy Seager on Chicago Fire?
Seager appeared in both Seasons 8 and 10 of Chicago Fire, and her role in the episodes was rather limited: She looked into suspicious fire cases with Severide. That said, the proximity of the characters—plus Severide's penchant for talking to Seager about his relationship with Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo)—led some fans to think Seager would break up Stellaride.
"I'm gonna need Wendy to stop flirting with Severide," one fan tweeted after Seager's Season 10 return, according to Looper.
"Kidd betta get back and keep an eye on Severide," another viewer wrote, while a third added, "Wendy Seager! I see you! She's definitely trouble and wants Severide."
Worries about Seager breaking up Severide and Stella have effectively come to an end. The Stellaride wedding at the end of Season 10 put viewers at ease, and the couple is stronger than ever.
For context: Prior to Season 11, Seager's last appearance on Chicago Fire was Season 10, Episode 16, when she investigated a building fire started by a young boy.
