When Does Chicago Med Season 8 Return?

From romantic revelations to shocking changes in administration, the midseason finale of Chicago Med had a little bit of everything, and the One Chicago family is eager to know what will happen next.
April Sexton and Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) finally got the big wedding they always deserved despite having some minor pre-ceremony jitters; Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) asked out a new woman in his life; Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) and her boyfriend decided to spend some time apart; and Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) was forced to come clean about his medical condition to Hannah (Jessy Schram).
Even more stressful, in the episode's final moments, Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) found out that Season 8 mystery millionaire Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) bought the controlling interest in Gaffney Medical Group. The purchase throws off the hospital's administration and places Sharon's job in peril.
Chi-Hards may be eager to know what will happen next after the nail-biting events of the midseason finale, but they'll have to wait just a bit longer. When will Chicago Med return?
Chicago Med will not be airing a new episode during the weeks of December 14th, 21st, or 28th. New episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. will resume on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, for the return of One Chicago Wednesdays.
