Where Is the TODAY Show Filmed?

Here's where you can see the show if you're in New York City.

A hallmark of New York City's media landscape is the TODAY show, which has been airing for 72 years on NBC. Through the decades, TODAY has helped Americans start their days with the latest news and uplifting stories that resonate. TODAY has a four-hour block weekday mornings, airing from 7 a.m. ET to 11 a.m. ET, and dozens of journalists and anchors have graced the broadcast. From Katie Couric to Al Roker to Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, TODAY's talent has the unique opportunity to talk to people in their homes first thing in the morning. For that reason, fans have grown to love them.

Where is the TODAY show filmed? 

The TODAY show films at Rockefeller Center in Studio 1A at 35 West 48th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues.

If you want to stand outside as the show is filming, fill out this form. TODAY films weekday mornings, and people should arrive at 35 West 48th Street between 6:15 a.m. ET and 6:30 a.m. ET. Get your posters ready! Who knows? If your sign is interesting enough, maybe one of the Hosts will stop by and chat with you — on air.

"NBC’s TODAY is the news program that informs, entertains, inspires, and sets the agenda each morning for viewers across America," NBC's website reads. "TODAY reaches more than 5 million people every day through its broadcast, and millions more through TODAY.com, the TODAY app, and social media platforms." 

TODAY has received three Emmy Awards and seven nominations. All three awards were for the Outstanding Achievement in Daytime Programming category, which TODAY took home in 1968, 1970, and 1971. 

Dave Garroway, the founding Host of TODAY, received a nomination for Best Contribution to Daytime Programming all the way back in 1956.
