Extended Family premieres Saturday, December 23rd at 8/7c on NBC, with new weekly episodes returning Tuesday, January 2nd at 8:30/7:30c on NBC. All episodes will be available to stream next day on Peacock.

What is Extended Family about?
The official synopsis for Extended Family reads: "After an amicable divorce, Jim and Julia decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when Trey, the owner of his favorite sports team, enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart."
Who is starring in Extended Family?
The hilarious Jon Cryer from Two and a Half Men fame will be taking on the lead role of Jim. You may also recognize Cryer from the iconic 1986 movie Pretty in Pink, where he played Duckie. Cryer also played the thrilling role of the villain Lex Luther in the CW show Superman & Lois.
Another experienced sitcom star, Donald Faison, will be playing the role of Trey. Faison is known for his role as the cocky but well-meaning surgeon Chris Turk in NBC's Scrubs. He has also played the role of Phil Chase in the multi-cam sitcom The Exes. Faison's breakout role was in the legendary 1995 teen movie Clueless, where he played the popular student Murray.
Meanwhile, Abigail Spencer is playing the role of Jim's ex-wife, Julia. You most likely recognize Spencer as a recurring character, Dana Scott, on USA Network's Suits.
As for Jim and Julia's two children, they will be played by Sofia Capanna and Finn Sweeney, respectively.
