Chrissy Teigen Skipped the Grammys With John Legend For an Adorable Reason

While former The Voice Coach John Legend’s performance at the 2023 Grammys was show-stopping, his wife, Chrissy Teigen, wasn’t in the audience that night. But don’t worry: Her reason for staying home is as sweet as ever. She was taking care of their new baby!
On February 5, Teigen posted an adorable photo of her and Legend’s newborn daughter, Esti Maxine Stephens, sprawled out asleep in her arms. Teigen sat on a couch cradling the infant, glowing, her hair pulled back in a sleek bun.
“happy grammy day!! had a dress fitting, looked around and realized ….what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol,” the loving mama captioned an Instagram post.
“Just sitting there fine AF” her supportive husband Legend then commented, racking up thousands of likes. How sweet!
Meanwhile, This Is Us star and fellow mom Mandy Moore jumped onboard by responding with a slew of heart emojis. (The actress just recently welcomed another baby herself.)
On January 13, 2023, Teigen and Legend welcomed Esti into the world, and they couldn’t have been more delighted. They both took to their Instagram pages a few days later to announce the news, posting a heartwarming photo of their children, Miles and Luna, gently holding the newborn and gazing at her lovingly.
“On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy. I’m in awe of Chrissy’s strength and resilience and I’m so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I’m so, so grateful, but that doesn’t seem like a big enough word…,” Legend captioned the pic.
“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens - the house is bustling and our family could not be happier 💕 Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes - we feel it all! X,” Teigen added on her account.
