The Voice Season 24 Mega Mentor Has Been Revealed — And She's a Country Legend
The Voice Season 24 may not have Blake Shelton, but it still has a roster of country music heavy-hitters.
The Mega Mentor on The Voice Season 24 has been announced, and country music fans are going to be thrilled. Wynonna Judd, one half of the iconic mother-daughter duo The Judds, will join Season 24 of the hit singing competition show as a cross-team advisor to help all the Coaches guide the Contestants to perform their best in the Knockouts.
Wynonna Judd is The Voice Season 24 Mega Mentor
Judd and her late mother, Naomi, released a string of country hits in the 1980s, like "Mama He's Crazy" and "Why Not Me." This year, she became the first-ever winner of the Country Champion Award at the People's Choice Country Awards. In her acceptance speech, Judd said candidly, "It's getting harder and harder out there. Never give up on your dreams. For half of you in this place tonight, I know you don't know who I am or you were not born when I had my years of being fabulous, and I'll let that go. But back in 1990, blah blah blah, Tim McGraw opened for me. Four weeks ago, I opened for Tim. The highs are high and the lows are low, baby, but don't ever let them tell you who you are. Good night." She earned a standing ovation, and her solid advice from years of experience is exactly what makes her Mega Mentor material.

Judd is from a talented family
Husky-voiced Wynonna and her movie star sister, Ashley, were on hand when The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in May 2022. In addition to appearing in hits like Heat and Natural Born Killers, Ashley Judd is an outspoken women's rights advocate. No woman in their family has ever been afraid to speak her mind!
We'll see more Judd sparkle on display this Christmas, when Wynonna hosts Christmas at the Opry on NBC. The Voice Coach alum Kelly Clarkson and This Is Us actress Chrissy Metz are among the performers in the special, which airs December 7.

Last season's Mega Mentor was fellow country star Reba McEntire, who now sits in a Coach chair. Will country Artists have a double advantage with these two redheads leading the show? Or maybe they'll be intimidated by double the country greatness, and it'll be pop and R&B Acts stealing the spotlight. Niall Horan, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani have their work cut out for them, that's for sure!
The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC at 8/7c and streams next day on Peacock.
