Actor Bio

Kelly Brook plays Prudence on the NBC comedy "One Big Happy."

A versatile model, actress, television host, businesswoman and pin-up, Brook has firmly established herself as more than just a pretty face in the entertainment business.

Brook grew up in Kent, England before moving to London to study at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. From there, she began her modeling career at 16 after winning a beauty competition.

She soon became one of the U.K.'s top swimwear and lingerie models, culminating with the launch of her own line. Brook quickly became a regular fixture in the monthly magazine market, appearing on the covers of Love, Glamour, Red, InStyle, GQ, Cosmopolitan and Esquire, to name a few. She won FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World Title in 2005 and Grazia's best British female body in 2006. She also graced the September 2010 cover of Playboy, photographed by Ellen von Unwerth.

In addition to modeling, Brook has also worked extensively in TV. Her hosting roles in the U.K. have included C4's "The Big Breakfast," ITV's "Love Island," Living's "Dirty Dancing: The Time of Our Lives" and MTV Select. She starred on BBC1's hugely popular series "Strictly Come Dancing," alongside dance partner Brendan Cole in 2007. She produced her first dance-inspired fitness video in 2008 and was invited to guest judge on ITV's flagship show "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009 with Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell.

In tandem with her TV work, Brook has also worked as an actress in both theater and film. Her first theater role was in "Eye Contact" in 2000. From there, she went on to star in Neil LaBute's West End production of "Fat Pig" at the Comedy Theatre (2008) and in "Calendar Girls" at the Noel Coward Theatre (2009).

In addition, Brook has had lead roles on ITV's "Agatha Christie's Marple" (2006), ITV's "Moving Wallpaper" (2009), "Hotel Babylon" (BBC), the WB series "Smallville" (2002) and "Romy and Michele: In the Beginning," opposite Katherine Heigl, for ABC.

Brook also starred in the British comedy "Keith Lemon: The Film," and made a cameo appearance in London's cabaret show "Forever Crazy" by Crazy Horse Paris. She also had a role in Maeve Murphy's latest feature film, "Taking Stock."
