Max Burkholder portrays Max Braverman, Adam (Peter Krause) and Kristina's (Monica Potter) son, on NBC's drama series "Parenthood." Quirky and sweet, but also emotionally isolated, Max Braverman was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, and continues to experience and navigate new environments.
Burkholder began his career in entertainment at a very young age and continues to develop and shine as a skilled actor, voicing characters for TV, film and commercials. In 2004, at the age of seven, Burkholder was nominated for a Young Artist Award for his performance in "Daddy Day Care." In 2011, he received a Prism Award for his work on "Parenthood."
His film credits include "The Babysitter"; "The Purge" opposite Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey; "Daddy Day Care" opposite Eddie Murphy; "The Rainbow Tribe"; "Love for Rent"; "Friends with Money"; and "Fathers and Sons." Burkholder has also voiced characters in films and television programs such as "The Land Before Time," "My Friends Tigger and Pooh," "Family Guy," "Fly Me to the Moon," "Princess Stories," "Red Bull" and "Arthur's Lost Pet."
Burkholder's television credits include guest-starring and recurring roles in "Private Practice," "Grey's Anatomy," "Brothers & Sisters," "In Treatment," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY" and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." He was a series regular on "Commando Nanny" and starred in the made-for-television movies "Points of Entry" and "Paulie" alongside Paul Sorvino and Janeane Garafolo.
