"La Ley de Zapata" follows the small but powerful, and predominantly Mexican-American, Zapata County Sheriff’s Department, led by Sheriff Alonso López and Chief Deputy Raymundo Del Bosque. Their brave team of deputies puts their lives on the line every day to protect Zapata, a border town like no other in the state of Texas. Located 200 miles south of San Antonio, it's nicknamed the "gateway to the Rio Grande."
