Bowen Yang returns for his sixth season as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" after joining the show as a staff writer in Season 44.

Yang is an Emmy Award-nominated comedian, writer and actor. He has entertained viewers with his lineup of standout characters and impressions on "SNL," including fan-favorite the Iceberg That Sank the Titanic and Fran Lebowitz on "Weekend Update." Yang received back-to-back Emmy nominations in 2021 and 2022 as well as in 2024 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. In 2019, he earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and was also recognized in TIME100’s Most Influential People of 2021.

Yang currently co-hosts the acclaimed podcast "Las Culturistas" alongside fellow comedian Matt Rogers, which garnered rapid success and was named Podcast of the Year in 2023 at the iHeartPodcast Awards.

On the big screen, he can next be seen playing Pfannee in Jon M. Chu's highly anticipated adaptation of the hit Broadway musical "Wicked," in theaters November 22. This past summer, he wrapped production on Andrew Ahn's "The Wedding Banquet," opposite Lily Gladstone, and he recently appeared in A24’s musical comedy "Dicks: The Musical," alongside Megan Thee Stallion and Nathan Lane.

Additional television and film credits include Comedy Central's "Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens," "High Maintenance," Comedy Central's "Broad City" and Peacock's "Girls5eva." In 2022, he co-starred in Fox Searchlight's romantic comedy "Fire Island" and can be seen in "Bros," "The Lost City" and "Isn't It Romantic." Yang also served as a consulting producer on Apple TV+'s "Schmigadoon!"

Yang is from Aurora, Colorado, and his birthday is November 6.
