Actor Bio

Thomas Sadoski stars in NBC's new miniseries "The Slap" as Gary, the liberal and artistic father of Hugo.

Prior to "The Slap," Sadoski played Don Keefer on HBO's Golden Globe-nominated Aaron Sorkin series "The Newsroom," which recently concluded its third and final season.

Sadoski's additional television credits include a recurring role on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," as well as "Ugly Betty," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Law & Order" and "As the World Turns."

On the big screen, Sadoski can be seen in the movie adaptation of the New York Times best-seller "Wild," directed by Jean-Marc Vallée and starring Reese Witherspoon. He has completed work on "The Dramatics" with Rosemarie DeWitt and "I Smile Back" with Sarah Silverman and Josh Charles. Sadoski can next be seen starring opposite Leslie Bibb in "Take Care," directed by Liz Tuccillo, which premiered at the 2014 South by Southwest Film Festival.

His film credits include "30 Beats," "The New Twenty," "Circledrawers," "Loser," "Happy Hour" and "Winter Solstice."

A veteran of the stage, Sadoski has starred in a wide variety of Broadway and off-Broadway productions. He will return to the stage next spring when he reteams with Neil LaBute in the off-Broadway production of "The Way We Get By," which follows two people as they grapple with the life-altering fallout of spending a drunken steamy night together. His previous collaboration with LaBute earned Sadoski a nomination for Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards for originating the role of Greg in LaBute's "Reasons to Be Pretty." Sadoski's other Broadway credits include "The House of Blue Leaves" and "Reckless," his Broadway debut opposite Mary-Louise Parker. Off-Broadway credits include Sam Mendes' Bridge Project productions of "As You Like It" and "The Tempest" that were showcased at BAM and the Old Vic and on a seven-country international tour.

A graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City, Sadoski has worked extensively to help develop new theatrical works at New Dramatists, the Lark, the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and the Sundance Institute.
