Amanda Shires with Jason Isbell

Amanda Shires is a singer, songwriter and fiddle player who founded the country music group The Highwomen alongside Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby. Shires has released eight solo albums since her debut in 2005: Being Brave, West Cross Timbers, Carrying Lightning, Down Fell the Doves, My Piece of Land, To the Sunset, For Christmas and Take It Like a Man. Shires' husband, Jason Isbell, is a four-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter known for his work with his band, The 400 Unit. Shires and Isbell worked together on the single "The Problem," which released in 2020. Shires' latest album, Take It Like a Man, was released in July 2022.
