Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician, philanthropist and activist. She achieved international success for her role in the pop duo Eurythmics. Since the pair’s split in 1990, Lennox has released six studio albums. Her 1992 debut album, Diva, peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 chart. Other chart-topping albums include Medusa, Bare and, more recently, Nostalgia. Outside of music, Lennox has been praised for her charity work in raising awareness and money for HIV/AIDS. In 2011, she was honored as an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II for her work with humanitarian causes.
