Sen. Bernie Sanders

Sen. Bernie Sanders is an American politician who has served as a senator for Vermont since 2007. He previously spent 16 years in the House of Representatives and served as mayor of Burlington, Vermont. Sanders is currently a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, the Energy and National Resources Committee and the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. He is also a ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee. Sanders ran for both the 2016 and 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
