Bill and Melinda Gates

Bill and Melinda Gates are the co-chairs of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Launched in 2000, the foundation works to alleviate extreme poverty and poor health in developing countries, as well as address the failures of America's education system. The Gates Foundation recently established a national Partnership on Mobility from Poverty in conjunction with the Urban Institute.
