Jurnee Smollett

Jurnee Smollett is an Emmy-nominated American actress, known for her role as Eve in the drama film Eve's Bayou. She has also starred in a number of TV series, including Friday Night Lights, True Blood, Underground and Lovecraft Country. In 2020, Smollett starred in the film Birds of Prey, marking her first appearance as DC Comics superheroine Black Canary. Smollett can next be seen starring in the Netflix film Lou, which premieres in September 2022.
