Katie Ledecky is a 14-time Olympic medalist and 21-time world championship gold medalist, the most decorated U.S. woman Olympian and the most decorated woman in World Aquatics Championships history. She holds the record for most career individual world titles of all time and is also the first swimmer in history to win six consecutive world titles in an individual event, the 800-meter freestyle. In 2024, Ledecky became the first woman in Olympic history to win the same individual event at four-straight Olympics, the 800-meter freestyle. Ledecky also currently holds 16 world records and 37 American records. Competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she made history by winning gold at the first-ever women’s 1500-meter freestyle event. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Ledecky came home with two gold medals, one silver and one bronze, making her the most decorated female Olympian of all time. Her book Just Add Water is available now.
