Michaela Coel

Michaela Coel is a British actress, screenwriter, director, producer, singer, songwriter, poet and playwright. She is best known for her 2014 series, Chewing Gum, which she created, wrote and starred in. The show led her to win a BAFTA for Breakthrough Talent as well as Best Female Comedy Performance. Another notable project is I May Destroy You, a comedy-drama series she created, wrote, produced, co-directed and starred in. The show premiered in June 2020. Coel can next be seen as Aneka in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is set to release in November of 2022.
