Micky Dolenz is a musician, director, actor and writer who is best known as a member of the band The Monkees. He was the drummer and frequently did lead vocals for the band in addition to starring in The Monkees television series. Along with the other members of The Monkees, Dolenz also starred in the film Head. Outside of the band, he has also released solo music. Dolenz has experience on the stage in shows such as the West End productions of The Point! and Hairspray, as well as the Broadway musical Aida. In 1993, Dolenz released an autobiography titled I'm a Believer: My Life of Monkees, Music, and Madness. He has also acted in television series including The Drew Carey Show, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital. Additionally, Dolenz has directed for the shows Boy Meets World and Pacific Blue. His latest project is the release of an upcoming photo book.
