Jared was raised in a Christian household and first started singing in church. He led worship for the youth ministry and went on to join his school choir, where he competed at the state level four years in a row. Jared is currently a senior at Lee University, is on the prestigious college worship team and is captain of the track and cross-country teams. Jared comes to “The Voice” to fulfill a promise he made to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day that he’d audition as his gift to her.
