Hanna comes from a musical family. Her dad was in a barbershop quartet, and her paternal grandfather played with The Osmonds and several jazz artists. She is enrolled in the Orange County School of the Arts, where she focuses on commercial music. Hanna's parents constantly push her and her siblings to prove they can do anything if they put their minds to it. Hanna earns money as a piano teacher with 13 students.
