Briar is the youngest of six kids. She's always wanted to be a singer, but coming from such a small town, her dreams felt out of reach. At first, Briar's only outlet was church, where her mother was the choir director. Once her parents saw how serious she was about music, they allowed her to attend a performing arts high school three hours away from her home. Briar now attends the University of Southern Mississippi, where she majors in broadcast journalism. However, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to be on The Voice and potentially jump-start her career as a musician.
