Cassandra grew up with gospel singing parents and would sing with her 11 siblings as part of "The Cleveland Clan." Cassandra eventually left the family band to focus on raising her son but still tried to work as a musician whenever she could. She had some success as a background singer for stars like Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Barry Manilow and Patti LaBelle, but it was hard to juggle family and life as a background singer, so she started a catering business and did vocal coaching on the side. Cassandra has overcome many obstacles in her life, and The Voice is her one last shot at her dream of becoming a solo artist.
