Ten-year-old Parker Bates portrays Young Kevin, son of Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), on NBC's hit drama series "This Is Us."Bates will soon star in the film "Magic Max," opposite Jud Tylor and Barry Corbin.Bates was born in Dallas and began modeling at the age of two, but discovered his passion for acting at six years old when he accompanied his older brother, Prestyn, to a commercial audition. He inadvertently wound up in the audition room himself and booked the job. He went on to secure roles in commercials, PSAs and short film productions in Dallas and Austin before setting his sights on Hollywood. Once he secured representation with an agency and manager during his first trip to Los Angeles, he began auditioning regularly.Bates quickly appeared in several commercials and within his first six months in Los Angeles scored the role in "This Is Us."Bates is also a talented athlete who excels in soccer and gymnastics. In his free time, he enjoys the beach, time with family and riding his scooter.
