Derek's dance résumé is one to be admired: He was named the 2014 Male Dancer of the Year by the American Dance Awards, made it to the Top 8 on Season 12 of "So You Think You Can Dance" and landed the lead role in the Cirque du Soleil show "Koozå," a major personal accomplishment. He also owns his own post-secondary program, Intrepid Dance Company, and has taught at more than 300 competitive dance studios around the world.
