During AGT's live results show on August 24, 14-year-old songstress Sara James moved on to compete for the $1 million grand prize alongside magician Nicolas Ribs. As the fan-voted Top 2 during the third week of Live Shows (the remaining nine Acts were eliminated), they've joined girl group Chapel Hart, magician Yu Hojin, country singer Drake Milligan, and saxophonist Avery Dixon as the Season 17 finalists. The remaining top Acts will be revealed in the coming weeks before they all compete against each other during the Final on September 13.

Fans first met James when the teen travelled all the way from Poland for her Audition. Her powerful rendition of Billie Eilish's 2018 hit, "Lovely," immediately impressed the Judges and audience. A clip of the performance even earned a retweet from the Grammy winner herself.

"When I was little, I was always watching the videos on YouTube of the show, and I was so amazed by that," James said. "And they say that in America everything comes true, that dreams come true, so [I'm checking] if that’s true."

Simon Cowell was particularly moved at the time, touched by James traveling from thousands of miles away to be on AGT. The Executive Producer said the singer had "a real star glow," and his opinion didn't waver following her live show performance. This time, James put an impressive spin on Elton John's 1972 chart topper, "Rocket Man."

"I am actually very emotional for you right now because I know how much this means to you," he said. "That song choice was genius by the way, absolutely genius. If you've heard the expression, 'Make the song your own,' that's what you did. I think you're gonna find this time Elton John is gonna be retweeting the song. I do."

We'll be keeping an eye out to see if James gets that very special shoutout.

Watch AGT on NBC Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
