It's hard to believe it's been six years since Grace VanderWaal first wowed audiences on America's Got TalentYou surely remember her audition, in which she played the ukulele and performed an original song titled "I Don't Know My Name." Judge Howie Mandel gave VanderWaal a Golden Buzzer, and she'd go on to win AGT Season 11. (She's the second female and second youngest Contestant to win in the show's history.)

Fast-forward to 2022, VanderWaal, now 18, is thriving—and rocking a very sophisticated pixie haircut. Well, at least she is in photos for her upcoming movie, Hollywood Stargirl on Disney+, a sequel to 2020's Stargirl. Head over to People now to see the photos. Time is truly zipping by!

Where is Grace VanderWaal now?

In the years since her AGT victory, Grace VanderWaal has signed with IMG models, and in 2017, she released her debut album, Just the Beginning. She also has two EPs: Perfectly Imperfect and Letters Vol. 1.

In 2021, she gave Lady Gunn an update on how she's been since AGT. “I think expression is most important to me now,” she said. “Before, I really wanted to just sound really deep. I would say something that felt really good to say and to be like ‘Okay, how can I make this into something.’ Now, if imagery or metaphors or that way of speaking comes up, that’s incredible. If that’s naturally what my soul needs to clear out, love it. If that isn’t happening, love it. My priorities I guess are a little different now.”

America's Got Talent Season 17 premieres Tuesday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
