Why This New Four-Chair Turn Audition Is Something Gwen's 'Never Seen' on The Voice
Andrew Igbokidi has all the Coaches fighting for him on September 26th's episode.
On The Voice Season 22, Episode 3 (airing September 26), 22-year-old singer Andrew Igbokidi got a Four-Chair Turn with his gorgeously raw rendition of Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over." While Coaches Camila Cabello, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton hit their buttons within seconds of hearing Igbokidi's voice, John Legend decided to turn when the Artist pulled off a particularly intricate riff.

“I’ve never seen on this show someone that has such a mixture of styles," Stefani said after Igbokidi's Blind Audition. “There are so many people that are so talented with vocal acrobatics and runs, but the way that you made them very emotional, I saw that.”
Although Legend said he was “intrigued” by the singer, the other Coaches pointed out that he was the last to turn. However, Legend defended his position by saying he was listening closely and wanted to make his decision with “conviction."
When learning about Igbokidi's background, we found out he was recently accepted into multiple medical schools. “I’m so in love with this guy right now,” Stefani exclaimed. (Us, too!) However, Igbokidi said he felt music was incredibly significant in his life, which is why he chose to pursue The Voice instead. Cabello then remarked that she was impressed by his combination of vocal techniques and vulnerability in his performance. “None of us have anybody on our team like you,” Legend chimed in.
But who will Igbokidi choose? To find out, watch The Voice on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
