Congrats! Behati Prinsloo Finally Reveals the Sex of Her 3rd Child with Adam Levine

The former Voice Coach and model welcomed their youngest in January 2023.

Since welcoming their third child in January, former The Voice Coach Adam Levine (Seasons 1-16) and his wife, model Behati Prinsloo, have kept details about the kid pretty under wraps, preferring to let all three of their children experience childhood out of the spotlight. However, Prinsloo just opened up about giving birth for the third time on The Mother Daze podcast, and seemingly let the world know about the sex of her youngest: It's a boy! But the name still isn't revealed.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Levine and Prinsloo already shared daughters Dusty Rose and Gio Grace, so when Prinsloo started having contractions and went to the hospital —10 days after her due date — she was confident in what she wanted from her birth experience.

"My doctor at a certain point was like, 'I just want to let you know, this is kind of the point, if you were going to get [an epidural], this is it...I was like, 'I feel really good... I think I'm... just gonna go with this feeling right now,' " she said on the podcast. "At one point they're like, ‘Do you want to get in the water?’ and I was like, ‘Absolutely not. I cannot think about something worse right now than to be wet...I was like, ‘No way — no water is getting on this body!' "

Throughout the conversation, Prinsloo didn't make a declaration out of revealing the baby's sex; she simply used he/him pronouns when referring to the newborn.

“I'm pushing, and I think the hardest part for me was... I was so exhausted, but I was in this state of bliss but also insane pain and bliss and pain and bliss, and I was fighting this rollercoaster of feelings and pain levels," she said. "I felt so connected with him."

As Prinsloo told it, Levine was an involved father and partner throughout the process.

"It was his favorite thing to watch and to be there and to help me through it and people telling him what to do to help me too," she said. "Just really making this into such a beautiful experience for everyone."

The Namibian-born model also added that while Levine was on hand to cut the umbilical cord, the scissors and his left-handedness made it "a mess."

While Prinsloo had the support of Levine, the Maroon 5 frontman relied on the support of sugar. “It was also on his brother's birthday, so they had donuts. And Adam had about a dozen donuts because nervous eating," Prinsloo said. A trait his son will inherit?
