Blake Shelton Has the Funniest Story About Drinking With Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson is a red wine gal, and we love her for it.
On a recent appearance with Access, the “Behind These Hazel Eyes” singer chatted with Hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover over some pinot noir in a “Kellyoke Bar” segment that was incredible.
During said segment, an iconic clip played that featured Clarkson's fellow Voice Coach Blake Shelton telling a hilarious drinking story involving her.
“Kelly, I was at her house—this has probably been seven or eight years ago—her house in Nashville, and she got into the wine,” Shelton alleged (more on Clarkson's playful rebuttal, below). “And the reason I remember this is because she was wearing a white shirt that, by the end of the night, it looked like she had been coloring Easter eggs on her shirt."
Clarkson remembers the memorable night a little differently. “In fairness, he’s talking about, like, years ago. I had just had a child, so I hadn’t had alcohol in months! So it wasn’t like I had a ton, I just couldn’t handle it,” Clarkson said with a laugh, adding that Shelton’s recollection of the stained white shirt was “completely accurate."
Then, in a hilarious twist, Access Hosts handed her a bib. Clarkson then giggled and put it on without hesitation. Clarkson needs to appear on Shelton's USA Network show Barmageddon immediately. A red wine drinking game, perhaps?
While Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton are good friends, they have a playful sibling rivalry going on as Coaches on The Voice. In a hilarious new promo clip promoting Season 23, the two continue to poke fun at each other.
This is my last Season as Coach on The Voice. After 23 seasons…” Shelton said.
“He’s so tired!” Clarkson interjected.
“I am tired of this,” Shelton teased while pointing at Clarkson, as she fell back in her chair laughing.
