Elmo and Cookie Monster Square Off in Password with Jimmy Fallon
Celebrate Password Season 2 with a special Sesame Street edition of the classic game show.
Get ready for the guessing games to start, because a new season of Password premieres Tuesday, March 12. And what better way for Jimmy Fallon to celebrate the game show's return than playing a round with two fun-loving special guests: Elmo and Cookie Monster?
The Sesame Street stars appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 11, competing against each other Password. The two teams were Fallon with Elmo vs. The Roots's Tariq Trotter and Cookie Monster. Even though Elmo pointed out that he can't actually read the clues because he's only 3 and a half, we think his team might've had the advantage since Cookie Monster solely has cookies on the brain.
The first password was "bird," but after Jimmy said "eagle," Elmo incorrectly guessed "soar." Next up were Tariq and Cookie Monster.
"I think we got the good clue," whispered Cookie Monster as their round started.
"Big," said Cookie Monster, which lead Tariq to correctly guess, "Bird."

Crushed, Jimmy wondered why he didn't think of saying Big Bird, given that his teammate is a citizen of Sesame Street.
"How did I not say Big Bird? What is wrong with me? I'm sorry. Are you disappointed, Elmo?" asked The Tonight Show host.
"Elmo's not disappointed, but you know who is disappointed? Big Bird," Elmo responded. Ouch.
The game continued with the teams guessing other passwords like "noodle," "backpack," and "candle." How does Elmo as a 3 year-old know what ramen noodles are? We'll never know, but nonetheless Jimmy and Elmo came out victorious, with Tariq and Cookie putting up a good fight.

Password Season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, March 12 at 10/9c on NBC and new episodes will be available to stream on Peacock at 6 a.m. ET the day after they air on NBC.
