The husband and wife, and Voice Coaches, teamed up to take on an iconic country song.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton just covered one of the country greats!
On August 18, the couple posted an official duet they did of "Love is Alive" by The Judds. During the cover, Stefani sounded amazing handling the lead vocals, while Shelton harmonized with her perfectly while guitars played in the background.
"I have always admired The Judds and I am so thrilled to be a part of this album," Stefani said via press release. "'Love is Alive'" is an iconic track and performing the song with Blake is a perfect way to honor their timeless discography.
"Thrilled to be part of this tribute album with @gwenstefani. @thejuddsofficial are one of the greatest country acts of our lifetime and 80’s country music is my favorite decade... I’ve been singing these songs for as long as I can remember. Listen to our version of "Love Is Alive" out now off the forthcoming album A Tribute To The Judds," Shelton posted on his official Instagram.
"I think we captured the original essence of the song," said Brent Maher, who also produced the original tune.
The Stefani-Shelton rendition will be included on the compilation album A Tribute to The Judds, which will be released October 27, 2023. Other artists featured on the album include fellow Voice Coach Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, and more.

What to know about "Love is Alive" by The Judds
Released in 1985 off of the group's debut album Why Not Me, the song reached the number one position on the Billboard US Hot Country Songs chart, and was The Judd's fourth single to do so. The duo was comprised of icons Wynona Judd and her mother Naomi Judd, who died at the age of 76 in April 2022.
