After a two-year hiatus from releasing solo bops, Stefani dropped "True Babe" just in time for it to become the song of the summer. The track is a romantic ode to a true love, with blush-inducing lyrics like "And we're from two different worlds / But you still call me your pretty girl" and "I wanna fly to your shows / Wanna wake up in your clothes." Stefani dropped "True Babe" on Friday, June 23.
Stefani has been pumped about the new release, taking to Instagram to share small teasers of the track.
"True Babe" is the first solo single released by Stefani since 2021, when she dropped the singles "Let Me Reintroduce Myself" and "Slow Clap."
When her husband Blake Shelton's birthday landed on Father's Day on June 18, Stefani teased the song as a heartwarming tribute to her Voice partner. The track's bubblegum pop beat combined with Stefani's timeless vocals make for a certified banger on the horizon.

While Stefani has not released a music video for the song, she did do an exclusive photoshoot for the single (which she debuted on Instagram) in addition to dropping a lyric video which you can see below.
