Howie Mandel's B-Day Tribute to His 34-Year-Old Son Alex is Hilariously Awkward
The son of the America's Got Talent Judge poked some fun at his dad.
It looks like Howie Mandel's son, Alex Mandel, has a great sense of humor like his dad.
On October 9, to celebrate Alex's 34th birthday, Mandel posted a hilarious clip of the two getting dinner together.
"Alright I was just working, and this is my son Alex's birthday..." Mandel said while holding the camera. He then zoomed in to show Alex eating a part of the cake with the candle already blown out.
"Alex, did I miss it?" Mandel asked.
"Yeah, but it's okay. I'm used to it. It's like my childhood. You just weren't here," Alex jokingly responded. How funny!
Happy birthday, Alex!

What to know about Howie Mandel's son, Alex Mandel
The now 34-year-old has taken after his dad's comedic footsteps, as he used to run a popular YouTube account where he would post prank videos and skits. He is also active on his Instagram page, where he frequently makes funny and heartwarming posts involving his dad.
In November 2018, Alex shared a montage of goofy special moments he shared with his father to celebrate Mandel's birthday. "My biggest inspiration and hero in life has always been my Dad. Today he turns 63 and still works harder than anyone else I know. I try to make him proud every day and know he works extra hard to put up with me and everything I put him through 😂. Happy Birthday @HowieMandel I Love You!" he gushed.
Two years later, Alex expressed similar fondness for his father. "I try every day to make my dad proud. He’s my mentor, my hero, and my best friend. I never stop learning new lessons from him, and I feel so lucky to have him as a dad. Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you," he wrote.

Alex appears to have a good attitude towards life now, but growing up apparently wasn't always easy for him. On Season 17 of America's Got Talent, Amanda Mammana, a singer with a speech impediment, had an emotional Audition. During his feedback, Mandel praised Mammana by revealing something relatable about Alex.
"My son was a stutterer as a kid. And this was a big hurdle to get over," Mandel said, explaining how supporting his son through this struggle affected him as a father. "So to hear your story, I kinda relate to it... And to watch that journey, from who you are and what you struggle with, to hear the purity today in not only your voice and your song but the words and the story, it was heroic and beautiful. Thank you for doing what you do."
