Kelly Clarkson Did a Surprisingly Incredible Country Duet With Dwayne Johnson
Who knew that The Rock could sing Loretta Lynn?
On the October 17th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show during the hit Kellyoke segment, Kelly Clarkson brought out a very, very special guest: Dwayne Johnson!
That’s right. Clarkson and “The Rock” decided to perform an old-school style country tune called “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’” by Loretta Lynn. During the duet, Johnson surprised fans with an impressively accurate Southern vocal twang! “You’d been out with all the boys and ended up half-tight,” he crooned with soul. Who knew The Rock could sing, let alone sing country music?!
“Liquor and love, they just don’t mix, leave a bottle of me behind,” Clarkson continued while cheekily smiling at Johnson.
“And don’t come home a drinkin’ with lovin’ on your mind,” Johnson then sang to the audience.
“You come home kissin’ on me, it happens every time,” Clarkson sang while Johnson jokingly leaned in, and she playfully shooed him away with a slight giggle.

The two then sang the final chorus in unison, with their voices blending together seamlessly: “Just stay out there on the town and see what you can find, ‘cause if you want that kind of love, well, you don’t need none of mine.” To finish the song off, Clarkson hit one of her signature sustained high belting notes.
