AGT Winner Kodi Lee Will Compete on New Series AGT: All-Stars
His Season 14 audition was "one of the most amazing auditions I’ve ever witnessed," says Simon Cowell.
An America’s Got Talent all-time fan favorite is returning to the franchise in 2023! Singer and Season 14 winner Kodi Lee will be competing in new series America’s Got Talent: All-Stars, and we can’t wait to see what the musical prodigy has in store for us next. AGT: All-Stars brings together previous Acts who have competed in the AGT and Got Talent franchises (including international spin-offs) to compete for the chance to take home the ultimate title. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel will serve as Judges, with Terry Crews as host. Cowell also serves as Executive Producer on the series.
Who is Kodi Lee from AGT?
Lee is a singer and musician who auditioned for AGT Season 14 when he was 22 years old. He is blind and autistic and channels his passion for music by using his perfect pitch and echoic memory. “It actually has saved his life, playing music,” Lee’s mother said when we were first introduced to him on AGT Season 14. We first caught a glimpse of his mind-blowing talent during his audition, where he sang and played the piano, doing a breathtaking rendition of "A Song For You" by Donny Hathaway.
“Kodi is one of the most amazing auditions I’ve ever witnessed. I will never forget that moment. I mean it was incredible,” Cowell said while reminiscing about his favorite AGT auditions, in the video above. "'Magic' is the only world I can use."
“When he opened his mouth to sing, we were transfixed,” added Crews. Lee received the Golden Buzzer from Judge Gabrielle Union and his audition became the most viral moment in AGT history.
Has Kodi Lee won AGT?
Yes! Lee was crowned the winner of Season 14 in 2019. During Lee's subsequent performances in the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finale, there wasn’t a dry eye in the stadium.
"America voted for you Kodi! How do you feel?" Crews asked when his name was read as the winner. "I feel amazing! Unbelievable." Lee responded.
America’s Got Talent: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, Jan. 2 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
