Kodi Lee Brings Back His Phenomenal David Bowie Cover for an Emotional Tribute
The America's Got Talent Season 14 Winner brought back the performance for an important reason.
America's Got Talent Season 14 winner Kodi Lee recently reprised one of his most memorable covers for a noble reason.
On December 10, while Lee was performing at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, he chose to sing "Heroes" by David Bowie to honor three rodeo athletes who have died this year. This isn't Lee's first time tackling the tune, as he originally sang "Heroes" during his run on America's Got Talent: All-Stars, blowing the Judges away with his performance.

What to know about "Heroes" by David Bowie
Released off of his 1977 album of the same name, "Heroes" is commonly regarded as one of Bowie's best works. In 2021, Consequence of Sound listed it as the second best David Bowie song out of his entire discography.
"Heroes has become an anthem for love against any number of obstacles, prejudices, and aggressors, a powerful statement for the disenfranchised and downtrodden, a crushing sing-along of hope and beauty." the outlet wrote.
"Heroes" has since been covered by Blondie, Oasis, The Smashing Pumpkins, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Prince, Peter Gabriel, and more.
