At 83, the iconic lifestyle expert hasn’t slowed down one bit and is feeling and looking great. Luckily for us, she doesn't keep her beauty and health routines secret, including the cosmetic procedures she's had through the years. In a 2024 episode of her podcast, Martha chatted with her dermatologist, Dr. Dan Belkin, and dropped some serious tips and tricks for maintaining a youthful glow.

Martha Stewart's thoughts on aging

When discussing her philosophy on health and beauty, Martha said, “I don’t think a lot about age, but I don’t want to look my age at all. And that’s why I really work hard at it. I work hard on my exercise. I work hard on my diet. I don’t do any fad diets. I don’t do any pills."

In addition to weekly pilates, yoga, weight training, and walking around her farm, the lifestyle titan admitted to a bit of trial and error with different cosmetic procedures. Martha acknowledged that some enhancements appeared more natural than others. For instance, when Belkin once put “a little Botox” on Martha's upper face to give “a little lift,” the results weren’t what she expected.

“Oh, I don’t like that at all. My eyebrows kind of go up in a V and that looks so unnatural because I don’t have lines in my forehead,” she said on her podcast, which aired on February 7, 2024.

“It hasn’t really worked that well on the upper face, but I think neuromodulators like Botox have worked really well for you on the lower face,” Belkin replied. Martha agreed and was refreshingly candid about her potential trouble spots, saying she worried about the “jowly” jawline that tends to run in her family. The right placement of Botox, however, “really, really helped.”

Everything in moderation: No plastic surgery, "conservative" filler

Martha Stewart smiles in a sequined brown coat.

When it comes to facial fillers, Belkin says he does them “very conservatively” on Martha, who is more interested in appearing natural than chasing an instant glow-up.

“We don’t do it that often," he said. "And for you, I like to use fillers that we call bio-stimulatory fillers. So, I would say this is another trend moving a little bit away from hyaluronic acid fillers.”

Belkin went on to explain that he prefers products like Sculpture and Radiesse for Martha. “They're both biocompatible, biodegradable, but they're not made of hyaluronic acid. They're made of lactic acid and calcium, respectively, and they've been shown to stimulate collagen and elastic fibers,” he explained.

The two also spoke openly about Martha's past foray into skin-tightening procedures, which are non-surgical and help boost collagen and enhance elasticity.

“We’ve done a little ultrasound tightening, I think, a long time ago. We did a little Softwave, which is an ultrasound-based tightening device," Belkin explained.

All of Martha's efforts have clearly paid off. But of course, speculation about plastic surgery has been swirling around the domestic queen for years despite her many attempts to put rumors to rest.

“I see on your Instagram some of the trolls that you get,” said Belkin, adding, “I end up telling a lot of people there wasn’t a plastic surgeon. It’s just minimally invasive things for a long time in a really thoughtful, excellent way.”

Just like with all of her recipes and DIY secrets, we’re filing away her advice. Leave it to Martha to embrace the aging process, but with a few clever tricks up her sleeve.

Yes, Chef! premieres on Monday, April 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC following The Voice.
