Miley Cyrus & Ariana Grande Sound Like Angels Duetting "Don't Dream It's Over"

The former Voice Coaches vocals sound amazing together.

By Elizabeth Logan

Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande singing "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House is a pure slumber party delight, a moody duet made cozy by their animal onesies and blow-up furniture.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Cyrus (a Coach on Seasons 11 and 13 of The Voice) and Grande (who Coached on Season 21) recorded the song as part of Cyrus' "Backyard Sessions" series in 2015.

The tune makes excellent use of both singers' lower registers, and their blended harmonies are just lovely. No wonder they chose it to perform together again two years later at Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert.

What to know about "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House

"Don't Dream It's Over" was the fourth single from Australian rock band Crowded House's debut album in 1986. The song went platinum in both the UK and New Zealand. It's since been covered by Paul Young in 1991 and Sixpence None The Richer in 2003. Written by Neil Finn, the song is about a longing and hope for connection.
