See Why Blake Shelton Was 'Desperate' for Bodie After His 'Rare' 4-Chair Audition
He was incredible.
On Episode 5 of The Voice, airing October 3, you'll see a Blind Audition from a singer named Bodie that got Blake Shelton very excited. In fact, the country singer literally said he was "desperate" for this Artist to join his team.
But he has some competition. All four Coaches turned their chairs for Bodie, who sang The Fray's "You Found Me," and in a new clip, we see them all battle it out.

"I'm desperate," Shelton said jokingly. "I think I hit my button first. I never play that card, but John [Legend] says it all the time, and he gets everybody on his team. I hit my button first, OK! Your voice is incredible. I don't know why, but I'm happy about it: We seem to have more rock-sounding Artists auditioning this year."
Naturally, Camila Cabello used this as an opportunity to playfully spar with Shelton. "You sound sad about it," Cabello quipped in response. "You sound like you want more country."
"I love rock; I just hardly can get anybody to be on my team," Shelton said.
"Is it 'cause you're a bad Coach?" Cabello hit back playfully.
"It's partly because you won't stop talking and let me talk!" Shelton said in jest, getting everyone laughing and the audience applauding.

But back to Bodie's praise from the Coaches. "I love your voice," Shelton said in conclusion. "Everyone is going to remember you. The way you look, the way you sound...You have what it takes to make it to the finale of The Voice. You just have to pick the right Coach to get you there."
Meanwhile his wife and fellow Coach Gwen Stefani added, "Honestly, you have such an incredible tone. It's just rare, so that means you're rare." And Legend said, "Your vocal presence was just so robust...You're a really interesting Artist."
