These 9 Kelly Clarkson Covers Have No Business Being This Incredible
Seriously, how *does* she do it?
Kelly Clarkson is a once-in-a-generation singer who's been gifting us with her talent for over two decades. Not only has she been blowing us away since the early 2000s with heartfelt like “Breakaway” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” she knows how to bring on the emotion with her expertly-crafted covers, as well.
On her daytime talkshow The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson performs a "Kellyoke" cover in each episode, from Britney Spears hits to Dolly Parton classics. Clarkson performs 180 per season, and has performed over 550 to date.
We've also seen her stellar vocals at work during her time as a Coach on The Voice, including her performance with Season 21 winner Girl Named Tom in the finale, covering Marshmello and Jonas Brothers' "Leave Before You Love Me."
As Clarkson is set to return to The Voice as Coach for Season 23 in 2023, we can't wait to see her perform alongside even more up-and-coming talent. Until then, here are the nine covers by Kelly Clarkson that have no business being so fantastic.
1. "Traitor" by Olivia Rodrigo
Clarkson gave us chills with her emotional rendition of a song about deep heartbreak.
2. "Breathe" by Faith Hill
Clarkson literally took our breath away with her subdued, airy notes on this moving love song.
3. "Jumper" by Third Eye Blind

This stunning cover was performed with passionate vocals in 2020. "But now there's no way to hide, since you pushed my love aside, I'm outta my head, hopelessly devoted to you," she sang flawlessly. 5. "Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette
Clarkson pulled off the song’s signature haunting melody with some heavenly vocal flips.
