What Time Is Tonight's New Episode of The Americas? (March 23, 2025)
This week on The Americas, we head south for a look at "The Andes."
One of the joys of NBC's hit docuseries The Americas is watching the show jump around across an entire hemisphere of fascinating life and seemingly endless natural beauty. In the six episodes that have aired so far, we've seen everything from the Sonoran Desert to the forests of the Yukon Territory, and we're nowhere near the end of the journey.
This week, after two straight episodes set largely in North America, The Americas will head south once again to explore the often startling contrasts in the longest mountain range in the entire world. That's right, it's time to explore "The Andes" and its many natural wonders, so let's take a closer look at how to watch.

What time is the new episode of The Americas, "The Andes," airing tonight, March 23?
The Americas returns Sunday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC for "The Andes," a brand new episode looking at the climates and wildlife of the South American mountain range that's home to a wide range of creatures and environments. Before that, you can catch “The Frozen North” — the 5th episode in the hour-long series — at 7:00 p.m. ET.
This week, viewers can get to know baby bears, rare hummingbirds, and even frogs capable of freezing and then reviving when they thaw. The Andes are so vast and complex that they contain everything from glaciers to deserts, and you'll get to know them all over the course of The Americas' next hour.
Plus, as with every episode of the series, you'll discover these creatures and places through the voice of Oscar-winning legend Tom Hanks, who narrates the series, often from the same place of astonishment and intrigue as the viewer.

"A ton of it is also just me reacting to this footage," Hanks told NBC's Savannah Guthrie. "There are times where I cannot believe what I am looking at. There is not a moment of artificiality in there. Nothing has been CGI'd ... [You ask yourself], 'How long is someone bent over an eyepiece of a camera, saying, I think the bee is going to land where the other bee is'?"
How to watch The Americas
The Americas airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC, but if you've missed out on the series so far, there's another way to watch. After "The Andes," The Americas will close out its 10-episode season with three more regular episodes -- "The Caribbean," "The West Coast," and "Patagonia" -- then wrap up its run with a making-of special on April 21.
