About the Movie

Directed by F. Gary Gray and produced by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, Straight Outta Compton is a biopic that chronicles the rise of the groundbreaking gangsta rap group N.W.A. The legendary ensemble burst onto the music scene in 1988 with a controversial yet undeniably compelling view of the violence and brutality of gang-ridden South Los Angeles. The film stars O’Shea Jackson Jr. (playing his real-life father) as Ice Cube, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E.
