Adam Levine on the Trendy Sport Micheal Bublé Got Him Into: "Pickleball But Cooler"
The Voice Season 27 Coaches played together when the two were "vacationing together" in Mexico, the Maroon 5 singer revealed.
Well, look at that — Michael Bublé is rubbing off on fellow The Voice Coach Adam Levine.
Levine stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 7 and he made an unexpected confession: He's gotten into a new sport, thanks to the Canadian crooner. The singer visited to confirm his just-announced Maroon 5 tour (fingers crossed he brings his adorable family along for the ride again), but chatting about The Voice Season 27 prompted him to tell Jimmy Fallon about his newest hobby.
"[Bublé] just introduced me to padel — have you played padel?" Levine asked.
"I know about it," Fallon nodded. "'Sport of the future'!"
"It's like pickleball, but kind of a little cooler," Levine explained. "It's like a pickleball-y kind of sport. But it's super fun."

Michael Bublé taught Adam Levine padel when they were "vacationing together" in Mexico
As it turns out, Bublé got Levine hooked on the game when they were having some fun in the sun south of the border.
"We were just all in Mexico together, actually," Levine revealed to Fallon. "It's really funny. We're already, like, vacationing together."
Based on the star's description, padel (also known as padel tennis) does sound very much like pickleball. Except this Mexican racket sport involves hitting balls off walls and, in the words of Levine, "a crazy plexiglass cage."
Color us intrigued!
"It's super intense, but I loved it," said Levine, admitting he "barely" lost to Bublé. "And I think he was mad that I almost beat him on day one, you know? He wasn't happy about it."
Of course, it wouldn't be an Adam Levine TV appearance without him lightly roasting a Voice colleague.
"He's decent at padel — I think his wife was a little better than he was," Levine quipped. "Am I saying this on TV now?"
(Welcome to the club, Michael! Make yourself comfortable right next to Blake Shelton.)

Adam Levine jokes he doesn't miss Blake Shelton "at all"
Fallon jokingly asked Levine whether he pictured Blake Shelton's face on the padel ball when he needed motivation. "That usually works, yeah," Levine deadpanned.
However, the Maroon 5 frontman quickly set the record straight regarding his longtime frenemy.
"In case you were wondering, I don't miss [Shelton] at all," Levine said sarcastically, his eyes closed. "I don't miss him on the show, because that's like the number one question everyone asks. No: It's like he was never there."
(Sure you don't, Adam. Sure you don't.)
Don't forget to tune in to NBC on Monday, April 14, for the conclusion of The Voice Knockouts — or stream next day on Peacock! Season 27 is picking up steam as the live episodes are just around the corner.
