Blake Shelton Just Posted a Heart-Melting Video Singing One of His Deep Cuts
And playing the guitar!
The Voice Coach Blake Shelton began his country music career back in 2001 when he released his debut self-titled album. It wasn't long before the single "Austin" launched him into mainstream success.
Shelton now has over 10 studio albums under his belt, and in a recent Instagram, he decided to get a little nostalgic (specifically about "I Don't Care," a track from his fourth studio album, Pure BS).
"Back in the day, I wanted this song to be a single so bad I put it on 2 different albums," Shelton wrote in the post caption. "We never got to it, and I still regret it. Thought I’d dig it out for y'all. It’s called 'I Don’t Care.'"
Watch Shelton's performance, below.
Although Shelton expressed regret over the song not reaching its full potential, he told Country Now he's made peace with the music industry's tougher components.
“You have to be honest with yourself and you can’t believe that this is going to go on forever because it’s not," he told Country Now.“It’s always over at some point, and I’ve always been prepared for that, and I’ve braced myself for it. And I learned to accept it a few years ago, maybe three or four or five years ago, that it’s coming.”
Thankfully, Shelton doesn't seem to have plans to leave The Voice any time soon. He'll be returning this fall in Season 22 as a Coach alongside wife Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Camila Cabello.
You can watch The Voice on Peacock and on NBC. Season 22 premieres Monday, September 19 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. It will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, as well.
